SEEKING DANCERS!
Join Blindspot Collective and Disco Riot this May for this special collaboration. Move American is a series of short dance films with impactful messages. Blindspot Collective is creating a PSA that amplifies the voices of young individuals who are casting their ballots for the first time in the 2024 election. Additionally, this project underscores the significance of voting for the benefit of future generations - not just our own.
With original music and interview materials from young voters, Blindspot Collective aims to amplify voices that are not always heard - the young and future caretakers of the country.
Dancers will receive video of choreography by May 10th to familiarize themselves with before attending in person rehearsals. The choreography will be 2 minutes or less and appropriate for all skill levels.
REQUIREMENTS
All dancers must submit to be involved.
Minimum age to join is 14 years of age.
TIMELINE
May 22nd, 2024: Workshop from 5:00 - 7:30pm
May 23rd, 2024: Workshop from 5:00 - 7:30pm
May 25th, 2024: FILMING!
All workshops will take place at the Museum of Contemporary Art,
Downtown located at 1100 Kettner Blvd. Filming location TBD.
Participants must be available during the day on May 25th, 2024.
